Hi guys i just installed my pistons on my 95 B18C1 engine i made sure the walls were lubed up but when i installed my pistons this happened on cyinder 3 and 4.

Can i run it like this or do i have to rehone it or bore it?

BTW my nail does not catch any of these scratches.

hey man, I'm an acura tech and I've seen plenty of cylinder walls... yours looks completely fine.... they look like a decent factory crosshatch to be honest from what i can see and if you say your nail doesn't catch anywhere at all I'm sure you'll be fine... to be honest they say when installing new pistons and rings that you should give it a slight fresh honing for the new rings to seat so maybe you might consider it.... good luck!!!

Thanks man i needed a second opinion my machine shop guys seems to know a lot about honda acura toyota and nissan and the honing was done by him..

What is bore size?

Was the block decked Honed or bored before you installed the Pistons?

To be honest it looks fine to me but if it was perfect cross hatch before you installed them and you roataed the engine by hand and it started to score as seen, then seems maybe the ring gap is off.

Yes the engine was honed and decked the bore is still 81mm the cross hatch was perfect before i installed the pistons and i did rotate the engine by hand and my ring caps were withing specs
