95 acura ls idle problem
 

when you give it gas the car starts to lose rpm after a while. if you let it chill without giving it gas you see it lose rpm and then shut off or have trouble with the rpm... when i step on it to race the car drives fine but sometimes feel the rpm isn't going up as fast but only last a few short seconds but continues to run hard... if the car is sitting sometimes it idles fine for 1-3 minutes but then it acts up. a mechanic told me hes not sure what the problem is and reason why hes telling me that is so he can make a lot of money on a simple fix and then give me a story of what the problem is and why its so expensive to fix.

theres no cluster so i can't tell if the check engine light is on or not. the engine is in a 92 honda civic hatch with a b18b1 non vtec also theres no o2 sensor on the headers since its aftermarket dc sports 421

i changed the dizzy rotor and the spark plugs and wires are new and car only has been turned on maybe 15 times since its been changed but it was about 8 months ago... any help would be great

wow all these people viewing the post but can't at least give an opinion on what it might be..... makes me not want to post to others when they need help and i know the answer/fix to their posting

happens to my integra right now it starts fine and idle is fine but when i drive it around for couple minutes it starts actin up like idle goin low like its going to die and sometimes when i start my car it starts and dies...iono wth is the problem

ahhhhhhh **** going to a mechanic it was a simple vacuum hose!!!!!!!!!! when i took my car to the shop it didnt have that problem and once i got it back from the mechanic as soon as i started the car it was acting up and and mechanic said that i gotta leave the car there so he can take a look at it when hes the one that broke a hose i changed the hoses and i noticed a knife cut on it... BEWARE OF MECHANICS dont take your car to any mechanic unless you want to spend a few hundreds!!!!

i had that problem with my car before.. its the wiring inside the distributor. its located under the distributor rotor.. it idle's strange cuz of the loose wire.. but i would recommend is to buy a new distributor cuz if u just tighten the wire it will not take long for it to be loose again..

it might be that also but you never know... the best thing to do is fix whats cheap first incase it was something minor instead of spending a ton of money on a new dizzy...

Im having a problem with my 94 Integra LS that has to do with the rpms normally staying around 1500-2000 rpms when driving. This occurs until i tap the gas pedal then it drops to almost normal level around 1k. Please help it is so annoying to tap the gas peddle every time i come to a stop....:scared:
