So my bro picked up a 93 Certi Fit bumper, the WW Big Mouth came off easily..however the 93 bumper just doesn't seem to want to go on well there is a inch gap between the bumper and fender....he has those things on his fender like the brackes that slide in and out...but no matter how hard he pushed up and I put the screw in the bracket it would sag and bow....we figure it should be an easy fit

so I did so reading tonight and I am noticing that we should have removed the bumper support from the car and bolted the bumper to the support and then to the car, is this true?? also is the styrofoam need, cause he has none??


any advice for him?

Yeah, to remove the support is easy. In fact that is how to change most Honda/Acura bumper skins is by taking the bumper skin and rail assembly off in one piece and then remove the skin off the car. I'm not sure what to tell you about the unless I looked at it but it sounds like to me the inner fender mounts must have moved or got bent up. There are four rail bolts for the front support behind the bumper lenses. Take that support off and try working with that.
