Default 91 Teg with B18C1 Best ECU P28 Or P72?

ok so i have a 91 DA integra with a 95 or 97 GSR B18C1 swap.
i get codes 20 and 23
I got the car with the motor in it and there is No wirring for the Knock sensor currently
and from what i have read the 91 Teg's don't have a ELD.

what i would like to know is what is the best way to fix this? I have read lot on this but it's not helping.

the B18C1 is is 90% stock - the IAB plate on the intake is removed and the sensor at the crank is removed and the knock sensor has been damaged.

I have the sensor for the crank it's just Not on the motor. but i don't have the IAB plate

I also have a P72 ECU in the car via a Jumper harness for OBD0 to OBD1 with the sub-harness for the Vtec and 4Wire O2

I also have a P28 ECU from my old Del Sol. its from the auto to 5-speed swap I did.
I have the stuff to convert it to a 5-speed and to burn roms for it.

The P72 that came in the car is socketed and has a chip in it but the J1 jumper is cut.
i connected the J1 in the ecu and the CEL stays lit and the engine wont rev over 3K this tells me the Chip is bad.

So what i want to know is it better to run the the P28 or the P72 ECU?

If I use the P72 do i just burn a New chip with the ELD and Knock Sensor turned off or should i get a Knock sensor and wire it in.

If i use the P28 ECU do i just flash the P72 Tables on a P28 Base and thats it.

I will be using Crome to do this and if and i should run the Knock sensor does anyone have one for cheap?

I put a 95 gsr motor in my DA with a P72 ecu. I took the ELD from the under hood fuse box of a 3rd gen integra. It's a rectangular brown thing inside the fuse box with 3 connections...

Pull it apart:

There it is, the brown thing...

Pop it out...

Three connections...

blk (-) ground
grn/red (-) ECU pin D10
blk/yel (+) 12v

Nice info i will be getting this part and adding this to the list of things i will be doing soon.

Did you just wire it in under the dash or do i need to have some thing in the slot just above the connector?

I epoxied a little bracket on it and mounted it under the dash on the driver side, all standalone. The error code went away immediately after connecting it up. Nothing goes in the slot above the connector, I think that was for the connector plug, but I just used small female push-on connectors for the wiring.

Im having the same problem, I have a 92 DA with a 96 type r and its putting out the code 20, just wondering what wires from the ecu and harness run to the eld you mounted.

i looked at my jumper harness and found a Part number and looked it up on line turned out there was a wire in the sub harness for the ELD and the Knock sensor.

Also i looked at the slot throught the ELD and it's for detecting the Electrical load of the car.
your supose to have the main 12V output from the Alt pass throught it befor it goes in the fuse block.
but unless you added the 4th wire to the green alt plug it's no big deal.
