1995 Integra GSR sourcing info on a type R swap
I've got B18C1 1995 gsr integra I've been trying to find information on swapping a Type R JDM B18C5 into my integra. I'd like to swap in the 1996+ version from my understanding there are some challenges to doing this swap can anyone provide any input on where to get information on step by step instructions

Re: 1995 Integra GSR sourcing info on a type R swap
because I have a jdm b18C5 swap sitting in my garage and would like to put it in the car. I know it will fit in the car fine thats not the issue I need to know what harness to use and what the ecu pinouts will be.

besides the jdm b18c5 never existing not a lot. b18c5 is a usdm itr motor and could be obd1 or 2. since you have an obd1 gsr your best bet would be to use a hondata s100 on your existing ecu and tune the engine once it's installed. it's actually a straight forward swap. you'll keep your existing distributor and not use the cfs.

cool that answers my question I'll install it and then trailer the car to a good tuner. Thanks that helps allot.
