thank you sir.
well I had 1 idea for the rwd. awd crv trans with no front axles. but since it's not strong enough that idea is in the trash.

a friend of mine is building a 4g63 and he is mounting the engine 90 degrees in rotation. like a 240 engine.

so if he can do it. why can't I?
yea why do this in the Acura when I can buy a 240? 240s are known for rwd. not many rwd Acuras out there.
yea it'll require heavy modification.
some firewall delete, front subframe modification. those are my biggest problems. I see the read diff and drive shaft and rear axles as cake compared to this...
All this if course if I feel like high hp numbers aren't getting the launch they deserve...
The 500 hp is a for sure. rwd is iffy.
just waiting on one of my jobs to really take off so I can start my build.
engine will be built by me. fab work will be done by me if it does occur.
so no money being spent on someone else's labor. just on parts.

car looks nice. 100x better after paint and the gold rims look really good with that blue.

a word of warning though. If you didn't do any work to that bottom end, 7800 rpm will kill it fast. LS rods have weak bolts in them, and don't take kindly to revs higher than the stock limit. I wouldn't go very much past about 7300-7400 on stock rods (and that's only based off the fuel cut being set to 7200rpm

really? I thought 7700 was a good shifting point.
but thanks for that info. I'll keep it under 7500 now.
when I got the head. I just resurfaced it and put it on.
I didn't think of valve guides. and now it burns oil sometimes I blame the guides. because before it wouldn't burn any oil so i don't think it's the rings.
I hardly drive it right now. mostly drive it when I don't want to spend a fortune on gas in the Infiniti. and I knew very little about cars when I got the Acura so I put a fart can on it(ANNOYING). probably the only downside. no now that I have a welder. I'm putting the stock back on in the next week or so.

but thank you.

I've realized my piston rings are going out little by little. oil is being burned now.
change of plans too. no mas 500 hp.
have plans for something else.
as of now. I'm just gonna get a b18a Jdm block sleeved to 84mm and use main/head/rod arp bolts. forged rods and pistons.
going to use oem crank and oem gsr head and a turbo. trying to peak 370-400

Boy what plans huh?!?^^^
Lol
500 hp. Iffy rwd. Damn!!
None of that ever happened!!

After trying to salvage my engine,
I rehoned the block myself. Threw hasting rings in.
Ran good, then a loud knock/ticking noise came about.
Thought it was a bearing. Pulled the engine out, drained the oil, didn't see any shavings.
Don't know what the issue with it was.
But I got another engine for it. B18a1.

Here's pics&progess.
Cut my am inch or so out of my shifter and welded it back up

Got horrible exhaust leak fixed

Old engine pulled

Had bad oil leak

DISGUSTING

New to me engine

Re did wiring harness

Injen cai

Harness and intake and shift boot chillin in the room

Wow so much in 1 page! Haha
Some updates
This weather and lack of a clean garage is making this build so slow!!!

Polished parts
Have b20 VC polished but no pics
Engine mounts and heat shield and pulley

Cleaned up the flywheel and pressure plate
Although it is really smooth
I'm thinking of taking a wire wheel to it to rough it up?!

Gotta have good sound

Finally put the IM on for good!
Ports and polished, ports covered up.
Just have to put and oil pressure sensor T on to drop the engine.
Don't wanna drop it and and have to deal with the T on the block while it's in, such a pain in the ***.
Also got magna flow exhaust
