1990 Acura Integra Shoulder belt sensor
My 1990 Acura's seat belt warning goes off regardless of whether the shoulder belt is attached. The shoulder belt motor died long ago, but the attachment point is pushed to where it belongs. When the problem started, downward pressure on the shoulder strap made the chime go away, but it no longer works.
I know the seatbelt system is supposedly lifetime warranty, but I live in an area with a Honda dealership (Mid City Motors, Eureka, CA) that will not honor the Acura warranty, and I'm pretty certain that taking it to them for repair would exceed the car's value.
I'm looking for information about where the sensor is in the shoulder belt attachment, and how to get at it in order to make it work again. Alternatively, what part of the shoulder belt tab could be built up so that it would still press on the sensor.
Thanks.

Re: 1990 Acura Integra Shoulder belt sensor
Thanks radioactive77, but I doubt I need a replacement part.
Further mucking about suggests that the problem is with the slider that (would) retract the shoulder belt "socket" to the back of the car, not with anything inside the socket itself. When the socket is pushed all the way to the end of its travel, as it would be when retracted by the motor, the beep goes away.
I'm hoping it's that simple.
