i always find it necessary to ground out the green with white wire from the 12 pin plug as well in order to get the key out.

So do you need to solder both black wires together to get the reverse light to work?? Or will it work without that step?

bump for a quick question, I connected the two black/white wires near the console so the car will think its in park, but it still doesn't say its in park. Anyone have any suggestions?

its not really tricking the system to think its in park, its basically just tricking the interlock so that u can remove the key. get yourself a manual cluster and forget all about it.

Thanks, I got it all figured out I just bolted up the trans and was also wondering about those two solenoid plugs for the auto tranny. Just leave em' hangin? I'm assuming the manual ecu won't be looking for those

I would leave them hangin or tied up mad tapped up to keep water out of them just as a safety measure. Lol

Awsome post and a fairly easy swap. But I ran into a couple of things that I thought should be mentioned. 1 after you solder the two big black and white wires you will also on a 90 integra ls, solder the the green and yellow and the green and green and black wires in the 12 pin connector next two the wires you did first and also found it nessary to remove the 2 pieces of ac and heat ducking above the steering column to be able to drill the 1 3/4 hole for the clutch cable. Hope this is helpful and thanks again
