01 gsr starter probz
So i've rebuilt my starter contact points with a set like this:
I got the points and the plunger, but it only worked for a couple of weeks until my starter started clicking again. Took out my starter and the points had some corrosion on em already so i just cleaned em up and slapped it back in. Worked for a couple weeks again and now it's clicking again. Sometimes it starts up right away though, its doesn't just click all the time.

"the gears can be, and most of the time are, worn down. The armature could be corroding and could need a sanding like on a lathe. The brushes may be worn, which is almost always the problem, and the fields may have a tear in them. There's so much to it, but yes, changing out the contacts is one source of problems for a bad starter."
Now does anyone know how to actually know how to inspect/replace the armature/brushes? Or should i just get a new starter?
