You Can Now Buy a Honda Urban EV (Scale Model)

By -

You don’t have to live in Japan or Europe to buy a Honda Urban EV, well, at least not the 1/18th scale version.

When Honda unveiled its incredibly cool, retro Urban EV concept, it was obviously received very well. And why not? Who can possibly resist those awesome old school lines, which hearken back to a much simpler time? Throw in all-electric power and some seriously cool tech, and you’ve got a whole lot of want going on here.

Sadly, however, only those in Europe and Japan will actually be able to purchase a Honda Urban EV beginning in 2019. However, for those of us in the U.S., there is one alternative.

We’re talking, of course, about this ultra cool scale model offered by DNA Collectibles. The 1/18th version of the real Honda Urban EV obviously isn’t much of a consolation prize if you want a real one, but it is certainly worthy of some shelf space.

The quality here is obviously top notch, even though DNA is still working on ironing out the details. Pre-ordering is open now, with a release date of sometime in November.

If this looks like your next must-have toy, we’d probably recommend getting that pre-order in soon. DNA only plans on producing 320 of these bad boys, with each one carrying a unique chassis number. They’re also the only ones with plans to make a Honda Urban EV scale model, at least for now.

But then again, this seriously cool toy just makes us want for a Honda Urban EV even more. Now we just need Honda to quit teasing us and get the thing certified for sale in the U.S.!
