Track days and many weekends of spirited driving simply lead to faster wear than your average commuter might experience, and replacements will cost you a pretty penny. So we’re here to announce that we’re going to help one lucky Honda owner out in that regard by giving them a free set of Yokohama’s Y-rated, ultra-high performance ADVAN APEX V601 rubber.

It’s all part of Honda-Tech‘s Apex of Performance contest, and entering is quite simple. All you have to do is head over here and share a picture of your Honda (or any other model) and tell us about your best day at the track, most killer road trip, or short but epic drive during these socially distanced times. The contest is open now through September 8, so you’ve got plenty of time to throw some words together and tell us all about it.

Once the contest is over, we’ll choose one lucky winner, who will receive a pretty sweet set of tires to toss on their new ride, just in time to check out all the beautiful color changes fall has to offer.

Yokohama’s ADVAN APEX V601 tire is a new design that builds upon the A008 and the company’s 100 years of experience to construct a seriously capable piece of performance rubber. It features a solid center rib to enhance high speed stability, along with high-grade micro silica for nearly seamless contact with the road.

While some performance tires are not so great in the rain or in terms of generating road noise, that isn’t the case with the V601. In fact, its tread design features optimized groove angles to minimize noise. And its three inside grooves help enhance grip on wet roads, dispelling water to keep the rubber in contact with the tarmac. Additionally, the V601’s special compound and rounded ribs optimize contact pressure with the road to prevent uneven wear for a longer lifespan.
