SoCal DA/DB Integra Meet Showcased World-class Builds
An impressive array of delicately restored golden era Honda Integra models graced GReddy Perfomance last weekend. Let’s just say they really showed out!
Call us suckers, but we still have a soft spot for the classics. That’s why when we saw the quality of vehicles featured in this Motor Trend article at a recent DA/DB-specific Integra meet, we had to gawk for a little bit.
This meet was hosted by the legendary Honda-head Kenji Sumino, president of GReddy Performance in Irvine, CA. The event was organized by Instagram user 93til.db2, a local DA/DB enthusiast who rallied some serious quality to the event.
This event was setup for no other reason other than to promote good vibes with nice cars in a sweet setting. No competition or trophies, just a bunch of beautiful golden era Hondas in one spot.
What makes these second-gen Integras so special? There is a certain timelessness in the simplicity of the design of these cars. A reminder of when things were just a bit less complicated.
Early ’90s Classics Never Get Old
While simple by today’s standards, these Integras were revolutionary in their time, ushering the first mainstream application of VTEC with the iconic B16A engine. They were lightweight and had incredible handling thanks to the benchmark-setting double wishbone suspension.
A die-hard Honda fan couldn’t really ask for much more. That’s why when we saw the Integra beauties that showed up, we were surprised this event wasn’t actually hosted in Tokyo.
One Stunning Integra After Another
Instagram user Momocosmo‘s Jasper Green Integra LS (featured at the top under the GReddy logo) is simply stunning. A perfectly clean body with an nice set of wheels and classy Recaro seats.
Organizer 93til.db2 also brought out his personal GS-R, a beautiful white model with amazing Work Rezax wheels. This generation GS-R is still incredibly rare, with less than 5,000 units produced in North America.
Above you will find Instagram user geoffs_red_db2‘s beautiful red GS-R featuring the GS-R-specific B17A1 with a gorgeous engine tuck. This build truly is the meaning of less is more.
To contrast its red counterpart, Instagram user pincheenrique brought out this jaw-dropping blue DA Integra. With more carbon fiber than steel attached to the body, it really stands out amongst the crowd.
The black with blue lettering Volk Racing TE37’s really tie everything together. Definitely could stare at this one all day.
Instagram user ho_dao also stunned us with this white example featuring a Mugen rear wing and carbon fiber front lip with beautiful stepped-lip wheels.
Other quality builds also graced the meet, including this immaculate single-owner first-generation Integra from Instagram user euy13.
We hope you guys enjoyed looking through some of these photos as much as we did, the quality of these Hondas is truly impressive.
