Malaysia EG6 Civic Mountain Run is Epic!
EG6 hatch owners enjoy a beautiful day out on the mountain among stunning terrain. We are jealous of how fun this looks.
The best thing about loving a specific car is the fact that it can bring like-minded people together. Everyone shares a common passion and drive for the same thing. Through this, friendships are built and unforgettable experiences are created. This is why we were so inspired by this video brought to us by Galeri Kereta, one of Malaysia’s premier automotive channels on YouTube. The video features a mountain run by a group of Honda enthusiasts known as EG6 Malaysia. As if the name wasn’t obvious enough, this group primarily organizes events for EG6 owners in Malaysia. This includes both drag events and car meets for the hatchback fans (we did see that DC5 creeping in the back, though).
Although my comprehension of Malay is limited, there are some inferences we can make from the video. First, we can tell this group of individuals is only organizing this event to have a great time. We wish we could have been there. You really can’t go wrong with a pack of modified EG hatches running around the mountains. Not to mention, the landscape around this area of Malaysia looks absolutely spectacular. Combined with their well-maintained driving roads, it seems like the recipe for a perfect Sunday afternoon drive with friends.
It could be that the distant and foreign environment of island-jungle found in this country might be fantasy-like for us folks here stateside. However, we don’t think there is anything wrong with a little dreaming. Not to mention, we get to see what other enthusiast groups look like across the world.
Although this video is from a year or two ago, we felt that it was necessary to give it a bit more appreciation. If this video didn’t exist, we wouldn’t even know about this Honda community thousands of miles away. So, the next time you decide to go out for a little canyon run with friends, remember these guys would be smiling right alongside if they lived nearby! One of the YouTube comments for this video said, “I think this video may have stopped me from selling my EG”. For those that don’t currently own an EG hatch, this video made us want to buy one the same day.
