Integra Owner Turns Electric Sunroof Into an ‘Engine Display’

By -

Integra is like the old transparent hood craze for Civics back in the day, but way more work and way more questionable.

Honda owners have developed a little bit of a reputation for putting suspect modifications on their cars over the years. This could be blamed on the Civic being one of the forerunners of the tuning scene during its emergence.

As a result, there were more parts available for Civics than almost any other tuner car. There is no aftermarket as diverse and plentiful like the Honda aftermarket.

So is this a blessing or a curse? Well, that’s up for you to decide. They say necessity is the mother of innovation. Let’s see about that how the owner of this Integra came to that conclusion.

Found on TikTok, user 50svaldo, this video features one of the most interesting mods we have seen in recent memory on an Integra: a power sunroof installed smack dab in the middle of the hood.

Amazingly, the panel is fully functioning. Not just that, but the glass has even been tinted, perhaps to protect the engine from the sun damage when not being showed off.

Speaking of which, you might believe there is a beautiful engine tuck featuring some crazy carbon fiber valve cover waiting for you under the tinted panel. However, the reveal shows an unpainted B-series with some faded red spark plug wires. That’s hilarious.

We are convinced that this is not the end of the story for this Integra. We have a sneaking suspicion  that the owner has big things planned for this thing in the future.

Imagine if when the panel slid open there was a beautiful turbo K-series sitting in there with all its glory? We could get behind that- a statement piece guaranteed to draw attention at a show.

Considering the original post features hashtags such as #betyouaintgotshitlikethis and #fastandfurious, we know this is all in good fun. Sometimes you just have to flex for no reason other than to flex.

Keep on, 50svaldo.
