FK8CLUB Honda Civic Type R

Honda enthusiast allows fellow brand fans to curate his online collection of FK8-era Civic Type Rs.

We at Honda-tech love to spend some time each week looking for the best Instagram accounts featuring our favorite Hondas and Acuras. Some accounts are focused on an owner’s ride or two, others feature Hondas and Acuras in many guises, posed against backdrops of sunsets, city lights, and garages.

FK8CLUB is one of the latter, and is this week’s Honda-tech Instagram Profile of the Week. As it says on the tin, FK8CLUB is all about the FK8-era of the baddest Civic ever made, the Type R.

Rather than doing all of the talking, FK8CLUB asks its fans to tag their pics with the hashtag #fk8club, or send a direct message to be featured on their wall of curated Type Rs. FK8CLUB is open to all FK8-era Type Rs from around the world, like this California Type R parked next to its sibling S2000, both of which are owned by “professional fun enforcer” daaamngiina.

Here’s a blue Type R from ladydriven.type.r. This one lives in Las Vegas, and was bought by its owner after she sold her S2000. The blue chrome wrap matches the blue under it, and is the perfect complement to the flash Vegas is known for.

Our Type Rs need a bath every now and again, like this white Type R owned by Kenan Shahla. Check the matching white Volk TE37 wheels, too!

FK8CLUB doesn’t forget the race-ready Type Rs, either, like this one driven by Ryan Eversley. Eversley drives this Type R for RealTime Racing in the Pirelli World Challenge, and has given his team its 15th World Challenge Drivers’ Championship by taking the 2018 PWC TCR-Cup title.

Since launching her professional writing career nearly a decade ago as a fashion blogger, Cameron Aubernon has written for a handful of online and print publications on a wide variety of subjects, including expat issues, fashion, music, and, of course, the automotive industry. The automotive expert was even the editor-in-chief of a popular online lifestyle publication, where she reviewed luxury cars and interviewed fellow automotive enthusiasts.

A graduate of The Evergreen State College Class of 2005 with a bachelor's in liberal arts, Aubernon took a left turn from fashion writing into the automotive realm when she asked a fellow writer via Facebook if she could write for their site. Following an internship, stints with a couple of hyper-local online publications, and a move to Seattle, she made her then-biggest impact with The Truth About Cars, writing full-time for the publication from 2013 to 2015.

Currently, the highly-regarded automotive journalist is a frequent contributor to the high-traffic Internet Brands Auto Group websites Rennlist, Club Lexus, LS1Tech and Mustang Forums, among others.

Aubernon’s expert knowledge of all things Ford trucks has also made her a mainstay as one of the most prolific writers on Ford Truck Enthusiasts and F-150 Online.
