Honda Clarity Electric leases to start at $269/month with extra perks.

The revised Honda Clarity now comes in three variants: Plug-in Hybrid, Electric and Fuel Cell. Honda has now announced that the Clarity Electric, sold in California and Oregon, will have favorable lease deals available. Let’s talk details.

The Clarity Electric will arrive in dealerships August 1st. Honda knows the electric car game is very competitive, so they are coming out swinging. The introductory lease terms for a Clarity Electric is $269/month for 36 months with $2,000 down, which includes the first month’s payment. California customers qualify for a $2,500 Clean Vehicle Rebate offered by the state. Lest you think this is a bait-and-switch lease deal, let’s unfold Honda’s deal a bit more. Included with the lease deal is annual mileage rate of 20,000. Free 24/7 roadside assistance is also included.

The all-electric variant of the Clarity features a 25.5-kWh battery pack that develops 161 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft of torque. It’s battery can be fully charged in just 3 hours from a 240-volt charger. When using the SAE Combined Charging System and DC fast charging, the battery will achieve 80% charge in just 30 minutes. The electric Clarity can go 89 miles on a full charge. For those who like MPGe figures, it is rated at 126 city, 103 highway and 114 combined.
