Clarion Builds Acura NSX Will Be Auctioned For Charity Later This Month

Have you been thinking of making a fourth fiscal quarter 6-figure donation to charity lately? There are much worse ways to burn your cash, certainly. That you can receive a beautiful Japanese supercar with a bangin’ system from Clarion in exchange for your generosity is icing on the cake. In no way could it be construed as selfish if you were to spend a lot of money to buy this gorgeous supercharged mid-engine monster. It’s hitting the auction block in a couple weeks at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas. You are a humanitarian, and after your over-the-top bid for this car is accepted you’ll be a humanitarian with a bitchin’ NSX.

This car was a proper nut and bolt restoration done by the Clarion Builds team to bring this iconic 1991 Acura NSX up to its current specification. They’ve carried out a number of tasteful modifications that we 100% approve of. If we had the cash on hand would definitely be bidding on this car ourselves.
The car has been aerodynamically and visually updated with a cadre of aftermarket components. The car was originally black, but has been painted a glorious shade of blue straight from the Lamborghini catalog. Inside the car has been updated to a two-tone terracotta over black Italian leather with an Alcantara headliner.
Perhaps the best part of this build is hidden under the rear glass; the engine. This early car has received a late-model 3.2-liter engine and 6-speed manual transmission combo. Said engine sports a CT supercharger, custom exhaust, carbon-fiber cold-air AEM intake, and custom engine management. At the dyno, the car proved capable of more than 400 wheel horsepower, and spit a whole lot of flames. Of course, we’re suckers for a great set of Rays forged wheels with sticky Michelin Cup 2 tires fitted. Helping those tires stick to the ground is a set of KW Variant 3 coilovers. Furthermore, it’s been kitted out with a full StopTech big brake kit on all four wheels.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a ClarionBuilds car without a booming audio system to delight the decibel hounds and audiophiles. Featuring their top-of-the-line NX807 multimedia system with navigation, fiber-optically connected to their high-resolution, full-digital-sound processor with FDS digital speakers and subwoofer, you can rock to whatever music floats your boat. Additionally, the car features a 360-degree SurroundEye camera system with dedicated interior display and an integrated laser/radar detection system.
