Civic Crushes Lamborghini with an eBay Turbo Power

Honda fanatics have fateful meeting with Lamborghini Huracan roadster, and the results are hilarious.

It’s a tale as old as time itself. David vs. Goliath. Chrome vs. Internet Explorer. Civic vs. Lamborghini. There’s absolutely no contest as to who would win under normal circumstances, but every once in a while, the underdog steals a victory from the agony of defeat against all odds.

The odds were definitely in the favor of Kyle Wade, one third of YouTube channel BoostedBoiz. Fate steered him and his boosted Civic hatchback to a certain meet, where someone showed up with a Lamborghini Huracan roadster.

A day before, Wade and fellow BoostedBoi Emilio had plans to shakedown Emilio’s 460-horsepower, K-swapped Subaru Impreza STi at their nearby track, with the aim of going in the tens with around 17 to 20 pounds of boost. A bit of laptop observation shows the current boost range of 16.6 to 17.6 psi (with spikes into the 20-psi range) is good enough for their plans.

Alas, the rain had other ideas, prompting the track owners to cancel the slate for the weekend. The duo did get to show off their build to an older gentlemen in a Pontiac GTO (who accurately guessed the nickname of the build without knowing), so the day wasn’t a total loss.

The next day, Wade rolls to the home of the third BoostedBoi, Brent Leivestad, to pick up a head gasket for a K20 going into his “Wago” Civic Wagon. Lo and behold, Leivestad rolls by Wade in his truck, hauling a CRX with a mutual friend at the back hauling his Acura Integra. Leivestad drops some advice on installing the gasket (28 ft-lbs and two 90-degree turns of the wrench). Of course, installation will have to wait for another video, as Wade decides to go a meet to see a few friends.

Though he didn’t plan on doing anything “too crazy,” fate delivered crazy in the form of a Nissan GT-R and a Lamborghini Huracan Roadster. Wade couldn’t pass up this opportunity, and in a series of rolls on the highways of “Mexico,” he and his Civic hatch with the $100 eBay turbo blew away both the GT-R and the Lambo. The Civic did have issues with its spark plug wires and O-rings under the valve cover, but at least Wade got his first “Lambo kill.”
