Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals 2019

After a year-long absence, Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals return big in 2021, including a feature of Honda’s beloved K-Series.

The past year’s been rough for Honda and Acura fans looking for a great time with a few hundred friends. A lot of our favorite happenings went into the crusher or up on the shelf thanks to the pandemic. This included the Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals, which moved to August from its original May dates. Despite the move, things still worked out for import fans in the end. Over 1,000 cars turned up to make the most of the situation.

This year, things are different, and for the better. More vaccines means more seats to our favorite events, and a return to regularly scheduled programming. For the annual Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals, that means coming back home to mid-May, specifically May 14 and 15.

For Honda and Acura fans alike, the biggest news for the 2021 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals is the 20th anniversary celebration of the K-Series. The K20 and K24 have not only gone into our favorite cars, but a few other rides that didn’t have them in the first place. Any and all machines with a K under the hood are invited to set up shop at Carlisle’s Featured Display floor, and are also encouraged to apply for a spot at the showfield, as well.

Of course, if you’re looking to buy or sell your Honda or Acura, the Car Corral is where it’s at. Buyers can see rides as they are, sellers can have that personal connection. A fist bump or two later, all parties are happy with their deal. Notaries are available to make it all official, including the temp tags needed to drive it all home.

Not only will there be some fine Hondas and Acuras on display, but there will also be a few of Minato’s (and Ohio’s) finest throwing down and all around at various competitions. There’s NICOfest’s drift, drift limbo and autocross schedule, a multi-round rolling exhaust sound contest, and a low-car limbo party for the most slammed machines.

The real fun, though, is reuniting with all of your friends after the past year of tragedy and heartbreak. This May is sure to pop-off like the turbos of a modded K24 Civic. Just be sure to get your tickets and a spot for your Honda or Acura!
