Brand-new NSX Crashes During Dealership Test Drive

By -

If you thought your day was a bit rough, at least you don’t have a crashed NSX on your hands.

A test drive of a new NSX went wrong in England when the driver of Honda’s new supercar lost control and crashed. Reports say the driver left the road, crashed through a fence, and oddly enough, into the parking lot of a Kia dealership. Despite the advanced handling technology in the car, nothing can truly overcome physics. Though a wet road most likely contributed to the incident, driving too fast for conditions remains the probable cause.

We have to assume that the Honda dealership in question doesn’t take NSX test-drives lightly and the driver was hopefully pre-qualified. On the other hand, if it’s a young enthusiast and a friend who worked at the dealership that conspired to take the test drive, there will be a lot of explaining to do.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the damage to the car looks to be more than surface deep. Considering it backed into a fence and likely hopped a curb, exhaust (at a minimum) and suspension damage is quite likely. Pictures show the back of the car considerably skewed, and also on a flat-bed tow truck with the front visibly un-aligned. All indications point to a hefty repair bill.

Now that we think about it, maybe the crash entrance at the Kia dealership is an indicator of the car this person should actually be driving.
