DIY: OEM Yellow Fogs instead paying $400 for JDM ones
Most of you have probably seen some oem yellow fogs and said to yourself. HOT DANG those are tight I want to be the first person who has them. Sad reality is some honda dealers actually sold these in the states.
The even sadder thing was people hated them so they didnt stock them anymore!
Now everyone wants something jdm and www.heeltoeautomotive.com is the only place I know you can find these. They are also sold out of them, and they also charge you 400+ dollars for a set.
I dont know about you but I dont need yellow foglights that godamn bad! So there is an alternative that will give you the look you want and will withstand the tests of time on your car as long as you are willing to do the work, and have the patience to do it right!!!
Alright now, read along!

Hell I thought these were the real deal and asked where he bought them until he told me that he painted them himself and forwarded me to this interesting link on honda tech.

One warning. The paint rocks for color matching and allowing light through. I used the orange to amberize a set of cheapo clears (replacing broken oems).
With driving though, the paint will get chipped off. I'm not sure if the clear coat will help with that. But my corners looked like the moon after awhile. Just a heads up.

Re: DIY: OEM Yellow Fogs instead paying $400 for JDM ones (midorigreen.)
you finally posted the final pic you bish!!! lol.
to answer ProEater I am like veteran clubsi member from waay back in the day and the last couple of weeks ive been on ive seen liek 30 wtb jdm yellow foglight posts.
I understand midorigreen made a post about painting his fogs but he never posted them on his car. Plus some csi folks might be idiots sometimes as you know when it comes to cosmetic mods.
So I included some pics of RoaringTurtle's car into the post to show folks how it would look on a newer ek!
I made these posts exactly the same on clubsi.com and jdmcivic.com because they didnt have stuff like this over there.
And I went through that faq post at the top of the page and was going to link to csi or jdm civic but figured it would be best to link to this post.
I wasnt trying to take credit for anything, just stored the photo's somewhere else.

I painted the outside housings of my EG foglights flat black to match the center section of my bumper. I considered doing the lenses yellow, but then realized that white light is much brighter than yellow .
