Default 90 grand...please

i own a civic with about 14K invested, it runs the quarter in 12.5...good enough for me. but with the price of the car im only around 22 grand. now i know its not an NSX but for a fraction of the cost i'll take it FACT: ACURA NSX HAS THE HIGHEST $$ TO HORSPOWER RATIO IN ANY CLASS...think about that b4 you talk about how much you love this car

I'm guessing that you have never driven one...thats beside the point. Did you ever think about the Mclaren F1 that costs over 1 million for 600hp, or Ferrari F50. Just food for thought, a perfect condtion 91 NSX can be had for under 30K. Good luck with your Civic.

The NSX S-Zero runs 12.4's bone stock (best motoring Vol. 4) which is impressive for a 280hp car. It's not all about hp with the NSX. Just think about this for a second...91 NSX=30K Hp=270 those are pretty good numbers. I realize that you are comparing a brand-new X and I'm using a 91 but I'm just trying make it clear that it's not all about hp/$. There is a lot more to building a car than just making lots of hp. Go drive one and you will see where I'm coming from.

You call putting $14,000 into a Civic an investment?

Let me quote what Ojas said. See: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=626024&page=2

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ojas &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I love how folks stick the word "fact" in front of any statement and it magically becomes true. Here are some exotics (randomly picked from those listed here), the retail price, stated HP, and dollar/HP:

Dodge Viper SRT-10, $80K, 500, $160/HP
Acura NSX: $89K, 290, $306/HP
Murciellago: $280K, 571, $492/HP
360 Modena: $144K, 400, $360/HP
Z8: $132K, 394, $335/HP
911 Carrera: $70K (zero options, rare), 315, $222/HP
911 Turbo: $150K?, 415, $361/HP

Not only does your math suck, but $/HP has to be the most meaningless figure ever. Need proof? ...

Kia Rio: $9.7K, 104, $93/HP
Toyota Echo: $10K, 108, $93/HP
Pontiac Aztek: $21K, 185, $114/HP</TD></TR></TABLE>

Now... Think about that before you open your trap again and post that misinformation twice noobar.
OWNED.

i would challenge a 90k nsx vrs a 53k z06. i think it would be a good race, and i think the z06 would have the advantage on all types of courses

torque / $

z06
400ft-lbs/53000
132.5/ft-lb

svt
390ft-lbs/33000
84/ft-lb

03 NSX
224ft-lbs/90000
401/ft-lb

Holy cow! I just realized they are selling new 2002 Daewoo Lanos (105 HP) for $3500... $33/HP. Now that I think about it, I no longer love my NSX.

Anyway, conclusion: Lanos &gt; my lawnmower &gt; *

Hey random-strikeout,

Why don't you go post about a car that you actually own? Like your '91 Integra. Go to an Integra forum, and enjoy hanging with your fellow Integra owners, instead of trying to start flame wars about a car you've never even driven.

Sheesh, between random-strikeout's flames and justacivic's misinformation, there's not much worthwhile getting posted here about the NSX. Maybe we should re-name this the "Flames and Misinformation Forum".

why are you so quick to jump on and fight for your car's honor. we're just comparing ****. get over it

random-strikeout,

EVERYTHING you post consists of flames. I'm surprised you still haven't been banned.

Why don't you go to a forum of a car you actually have driven and know something about?

Why are you hanging around here anyway?

YOU'RE the one hanging around the forum for a car you've never even driven. Get a life, indeed.

Unfortunately, that's true. You can post your flames - right up until the time that someone finally bans you. You and justacivic can show your ignorance - and we'll all continue to laugh at your lame excuses. Because you're talking about a car you don't know jack about, that you've never driven. You're not contributing anything to this forum - all you're doing is tossing your flames around.

Can't you be happy hanging out with people who own the same car as you, that you might actually know something about? Are you that insecure about your own car, that you feel the need to flame someone with a different car? Are you really that much of a LOSER? Get a life!

what i posted was facts live with it dude.

everyone who has a brain knows NSX's are overpriced by about 40k

they would be cool cars and worth the money if they were 50k.

i saw a black nsx yesterday. wasn't impressed. didn't look very good. and the doctor at the hospital in my town has a older red one. they aren't anything

just overpriced.

Drive one (or bet yet, buy one and drive it everyday like many owners do), then get back to us.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you don't see me (as brainwashed as I must be for owning an NSX) going around on the C5 boards bashing their cars.

If you lack the appreciation for (or even the ability to recognize) other attributes of a car (any car), why are you even here?

As nsxtasy said: Get a life.

I'm outta here for the usual Saturday drive through the Texas hills twisties... I hope I can still enjoy it, now that I've been informed my car is overpriced, underpowered, and Lanos has nearly 10 times the HP/$.

Lol. No, he's right. I guess I should really reconsider getting an NSX and just sell my ITR for a 1976 Chevy Nova and spend the leftover $ on a 454 and a nitrous kit. If only I had realized earlier in life that the only thing that matters is how much hp your car has and how fast it runs the 1/4 mile in. To think of all the years and $ I've wasted on 3 Acuras........
