|||||Track Footage/Pics - My EG Vs. Ariel Atom/Lotus Elise Exige - Jurassic 5|||||
I just wanted to share a few pics & a video from my last track day yesterday. I was bumped up to Group A, and got a chance to play around with some of the BIG boys! I shaved about a second off my fastest lap time at Pacific Raceways (Kent, WA), and now have a personal best time of 1:43!
Weather was awesome...Sunny, 84 degrees! Now onto the pics....
My hoopty
Mmm..brake dust anyone?
Some of the BEASTS in Attendance!
I'm a sucker for Porches' on Fiske wheels
A clean, slammed RX8 on RPF1s running in Group B

Now onto some footage! My EG chasing around an Ariel Atom and a Lotus Elise Exige. Ariel Atom & I are on street tires, and the Lotus Elise is on Advan A048 r-comps. Enjoy!

Nice I want to come out there so bad and do the road course
What are some of the costs incurred with racing there? Like how much for racing, licensing etc.

I was under the impression its pretty expensive. Buddy with a s2k races there quite often and says its like 150$ or something for the day. Sometimes more, that is if you dont break anything or have to replace your pads and tires

It can be pretty pricey, but its worth every penny if you are really into improving your driving skills. Lately Lapping days at PR have gone up in price to $210-$260 per event. Add in all the normal maintenance stuff...brake pads, tires, etc....No "licensing" is needed, however prior High Performance Driving education is recommended and sometimes needed as a prereq for some event organizers.

Here is another video of a FAST Neon SRT-4 chasing me around the track at last month's event. You'll start seeing my EG around 2mins into the video...

Re: (EG69)
I've been impressed with the amount of SRT-4 guys that come to tracks days...usually they are the biggest "group" of same type cars that track- not usually quick in the corners, but fast down the straights
We'll see if the 4th works out...I have too much work to do and too many days off

Re: (Evs-One)
^^^Definitely. SRT-4s & Miatas are the biggest groups by far. Some of the miata setups/drivers I've seen are insanely fast
