Default Dyno: b series 42r spfwd car ****UPDATE***

83mm gsr
9:1 compression
eagle rods (switching to manleys during the off season)
springs/retainers
stock head
stock cams
inline pro manifold
1600cc injectors
2 bosch pumps
hondata s300
aem 5 bar map

i used my dyno NLR for boost controll

this car has had problems all year. the car originally had the same EMS i had on my car when i was having problems. i tried telling him over and over again. at 30lbs of boost or something crazy before the car barely made 400 horsepower. they put new valves in it, changed a few things, and it still didnt make any power. finally took my advice and put S300 in it and things woke back up. spool up is still lazy, but thats nothing i have controll over. probably a combination of stock head/cams/and the log style manifold.

this was about 37lbs

made 780 on another pass but spun the tires so the graph is all goofy looking. putting a new set of pistons with a bit higher compression (10:1) and touching up the tune a bit before import vs. domestic in a couple weeks. should be fun.

Thanks Joe! Cant wait to bring it back and get it set up for the track. Special thanks to Joe, Jeff, and Jenny @ Tempest for helping me finally figure out why it was a turd and John @ Absolute Pro-Formance for building an awesome motor and helping me through this project even when hopes of ever making some power looked dim .

Nice numbers, of course your gonna have spool up issues with a big T and small output motor. Just the nature of the beast, but he will never play in the lower area anyways so I'm sure it will be fast.

Nice job Ben. Glad to see everything is coming together for you. Now get some seattime and get the car dialed in before the MIR event.

So the AEM EMS is the reason it was down on power?

nah...my car worked a lot better most of the time with AEM. the other system is something not very commonly used in the honda world.
