changed my timing belt was slipping the first time i bought my car. took it to an autoshop and had them fixed it. so they changed my belt for me and my water pump and ps belt also. drove it for 4 months and had to change my ckp sensor. so took out the cover and saw that it was sliipping again. so i had another shop that changed my belt and sensor since i didn't want to mess with the belt myself and then couple of months it was slipping again and rubbing against my timing belt cover. it's been rubbing and destroying my belt a little at a time. does any body know what it could be? i'm takin it to the same shop again and asking them but does anyone has a clue what it could be?

how exactly is the belt slipping? the timing belt has teeth, slipping would cause incorrect timing and wouldnt let the car run. The only belts that could be slipping are the PS belt and A/C & alternator belt. Which simply would need to be tightened.

your timing belt cant really slip. if it does it will tear your engine a new one.
you mean its coming off the sides of the gears? where did you take it to get replaced? was it a dealership? the work should be under warranty |
