Default Finally my 97 R project revealed

Hey guys looks like its time for me to show you guys what I have been working on. Some of you guys might remember that I got in a car accident in my 00 ITR almost 3 years ago. If you don’t here is the link http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1513998

Well I ended up finding a 97 ITR shell; I have to say it was a little gold nugget! I got it from a guy who had it in his back yard for 5 years or so. I went ahead and bought it. The jdm radiator support was already installed; it also came with mugen pedals, jdm itr cluster. One of the most surprising things that it came with was mugen 26mm sway bars front and rear!

Well here are some questions I have for the ITR community…

How do I find out the badge number?
Does anyone know who used to own this car? I did a carfax and there’s only 16000 miles on the chassis. As far as I can tell this car had quite a few mugen parts, and it has never left Arizona. Well enough of the boring stuff here are the pics!!!

Here are so pics after I cleaned her up a bit, was too excited so didn’t get any pics of her while she was still dirty!

A little cleaner

Now I had to reorganize the garage, lol. Due to more parts coming in!

Some parts I had from the previous R and some new parts since then also.

Brand new Recaro SRDs

Mugen…That’s all I have to say!

Just need the bonnet now!!!!

Now putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together

Well after all that…I decide to rip it all out and get her ready for paint. I know, should have done that first but I was going to track her only so I really didn’t care much for a baller paint job. That’s until I saw my friend azteggi’s 97 R he’s putting together, paint job is better than the first day it rolled of the show room floor! Damn you Charlie!!!! So now I’m trying to keep up with the Jones!! LOL

Azteggi’s Pimpin R

See what I have to keep up with!!!

This is how she looks now ;(

Now for the bad news fellow R owners….I have decided to go “K”!!!!!!

Well stay tuned, more updates to come!

Always nice to read these theft recovery buildups threads.
Good job!

Why did you decide to pull the engine out, and swap it for a K series?

looks like your putting alot of money into the car, make sure you get a good alarm etc and keep it garaged
