Ok, we have a forum for this type of thing, but i've had requests for something regarding this to be specifically available within the 06+ subforum. i don't know that much about that sh...stuff, but it seems to be popular. keep in mind i'm more of a tech guy, and never got involved in 'chat' threads and similar things. however, i'm still digging around to find out the details about why it was removed...
anyway, who wants it all back? Modified by builthatch at 11:03 PM 9/24/2008

Amen, i think the tech in honda-tech has been slowly been pushed out of the forums by "squads" and the guys trying to please each other on the internet by merely replicating each others cars

I honestly could care less whether it comes back or not......
but what exactly was so special about being in the FA/FG squad. Doesn't seem all that exclusive to me when there were literally hundreds of members. Maybe I'm missing something....but I never really understood the relevance of the squads.

True true true. How is it though, that there are currently 9 votes for "yes bring it back" and no one has made a post saying why they want it back? Man up, and plead your cases pu$$ie$.
For the record, I chose the "i'm ascared of polls, and poles" selection, because: 1) I don't care if the squads come back & 2) that choice made me laugh. Unless FG Squad gives me money and/or a blumpkin, it can stay closed. |

As a proponent for bringing the thread back, I don't see why we shouldn't have a squad thread considering all other chassis codes have them. I know all of you will shoot me for this statement for 'jumping on the band wagon' etc etc and all of you have valid reasons for not creating one. You may ask why bother, I ask you why not? Should you show no interest, you do not have to post, become a member or what not. There are various threads/subforums in here that I show no interest in, yet I can avoid them while they carry on with there business.
On the flip side, I believe the reason why Type X locked the threads was due to a dispute between squad member designations with Honda-Tech and 8thcivic. With these trivial feuds in mind, I can see why such threads are not appealing. However, if we can keep things civil I'm sure a squad thread can be established and maintained, while those of you who don't care for such things can just sit back and peruse other threads. |

FG/FA Squad is a club by definition, but not a very good one if anyone can be a member. I would think there was some exclusivity that would be required.

I voted no! If you go look at the original thread there are lots of people that registered on HT just to be a member of the squad and never posted again. They never contributed a single thing to the HT community.

^I have to agree with you there.
But the same thing happens when a new owner has a question about their car. Once it's answered (if answered at all), they never return either. We're all familiar with these noobs. |

Making some one be a member for a year then submit a request to joining the squad might work. But that would be allot of work for some one. |

I voted yes because, the first day I joined HT i saw the uberly fantastic FA squad and wanted to join. ONly to find that I wasnt able to join anymore which was fine. At that point I was a noob and knew nothing of H/T. But now that I know what kind of place this Forum is.
A bunch of know it all jerks that flame at every question lol JKAnyway I could care less now but I would join it if I had the chance. They should start a new FA/FG squad and anyone who doesnt claim there number gets kicked. That way only real members with a set amount of posts or time on H/T can join. Taking out the people who could care less about H/T and got in the squad just cuz they can.
