ok so when im driving every thing is fine. But when i go to come to a stop the car will idle fine for a sec and then just die. I have put a new coil, iginter, wires and plugs (for other reason). I have check every thing it only dose it when your siting at idle after coming to a light. when i put the coil and igniter back in i kinda just eye balled it from memory when puting the dizzy in. If my timing was off could this cause my problem.

if your dieing at idle then your accelerator cable may just be loose tighten it and let the car run at idle but it seems like your not getting enough fuel do a fuel clean, (replace the fuel filter, and use fuel system cleaner)

your idel air control value might be bad
if thats messed up your computer will go nuts trying to give the right amount of gas and too little will let it die

If your timing is off yes that can cause problems. Always make an index mark prior to distributor removal. Get a timing light and time it. Then go from there. Any codes?

Civic Idle Fluctuation If you're working on an '88-91 Civic with idle fluctuation (particularly a dual-point injection model), check the throttle cable free play. The EACV has trouble controlling the idle properly if the cable is adjusted too tight. |
