Does the alarm have a back up battery? Its sounds like the remote needs to be reprogrammed to the brain. We can walk you threw it.

Definitely, the battery has been dead for about 2-3 months now.

find the valet button. Turn the key on press and release and press and hold the valet button. The siren will chirp. Then press the lock button on the remote. The siren should chirp again. Then let go of the valet button and your done. Also if you have a back up battery on the car its a good ideal to replace it too.
