Default GSR Hatch build up/all motor build

The day I bought my hatch in Vancouver, a steal at $4,000, Im just not sure who got the steal. 1992 Civic Si hatchback.

Plans:
JDM GSR swap
Bottom end re-build
Modded GSR intake-no secondary system
B16 LSD trans
Wire tuck
Interior semi-gut
Exterior/interior mods

Stock Z6, sales man didnt think it was VTEC cause it didnt have the letters on the valve cover, dumba$$.

Got a the VTEC valve cover from my sisters 95 Si and stripped it down..

Painted it red a few days later and it didnt look too bad.

Radiator sprung a leak (white shit all over the dizzy and hoses) and the motor overheated on the highway, didnt realize untill I saw smoke coming from the hood, nothing got damaged though

New all aluminum, no more plastic junk..

Another issue, shifing a little too hard I think..

Got a new Skunk2 weighted knob and Type-R boot, man the weight of the new unit is nice.

Bought an H-brace and threw that on..

I felt it was time to spend some real money on the car and get the suspension taken care of before anything else major, so I did the rear trailing bushings.

The tool was amazing, thanks to the guys at turbod16.com for renting it to me.

Skunk2 Pro+ front camber kit, just make sure you locktite the allen bolts that adjust the plate or they may fall out on the highway on your way to work in the morning and almost kill you.

Function 7 LCAs, I get alot of heat about dropping the cash on these, but hey, I like them lots.

Koni and GCs, 550 in the front and 500 in the rear, may go stiffer in the future!

Wheels and tires..

The monster, before I sold it and got a JDM GSR lol.

The old

The new WS2, imo one of the best sounding out there.

One more pic of the old very tired Z6 with 288,000 kms on her.

Working on cleaning the interior..

Thought Id tak the head off and check it out, not bad.

Axles nuts coming off, $19 socket for God sakes!

No more PS and tucking harness

Pet Flexo'd harness...

Lots more to come.

Hey does anyone know why my JDM H22A throttle body is SMALLER then my JDM B18C?

I thought the H22A was 62mm and the B18C was 60mm but its backwards it seems??

I was also going to change out the B18C injectors for the bigger H22A injectors but I think I would need a resistor box for them.

New stage 1 clutch and 7.5lb flywheel, I've heard its not the best brand but I plan on boosting in the next year so I will need a new clutch anyway, should be fine for a stock motor with bolt-ons.

In total, 12lbs less then stock wheels thats all 4 combined

The harness still needs work, I wanna Felxo Pet the entire unit

CTR N1 crank pulley, from what I have read it likes to shatter oil pump gears? Toda cam gears coming

As it looks now, I have to keep the motor in the engine bay because I am not allowed to have "parts" "laying around". I NEED A TRANS! ANYONE HAVE ONE?

Newly coated...

Going on month number 4 of this swap.

SELL ME A TRANSMISSION

Well I have a little more down time with the car so I thought it would be nice to get the bottom end taken care of so I dont have to rip into it later on.

Input is welcome...

We have 94 octane up here at most pumps so Im thinking of playing with the compression calculator and getting something around 12:1.

PCT's are kinda high, so maybe P30's? What do you guys think?
I may buy some light weight I-beam rods also.

Disassembly

Off to the shop..

Going hard on the suspension I see. Nice to see that being an initial point of focus.

Ya, the suspension was first on the list for me. Like we always hear, no point in making power if you cant get it to the ground.

SMALL UPDATE:

I took care of a couple things that needed a good clean (lots more parts to do)

Before

After

Alternator was really dirty

after

more to come...

It's a good build so far. Watch out for that seal on the coolant tube lube it up before you insert that back into the motor.

Thanks for the info man, its little things like this stuff that help out.

As for the other question, I used a wire brush bit and drill to get the parts looking normal again.

I have been working very hard to pay for the rest of the parts and get this damn thing back on the road, so the next 3 weeks will have lots of updates motor should be in my the end of the month.

I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON A B16A2 TRANS! Its taken long enough, I looked at 6 or 7 of them before I bought it. Should be here next tuesday and Ill post pics.

Okay, here are the slugs, PCT (B16B) 81.50mm, 94 octane here I come! And some ARP rod bolts.
