well im thinking (almost sure) of buying an 08 fit ex...mexico doesnt have the s model

well what i want to know is whats the difference from the s model and the other models motor wise.

i am also noticing that the mexican front lip/rear lip is different...which look a little more aggresive but the front bumper is not the same .

check this page out for a little more refference.

http://honda.com.mx/fit/index.php

its in spanish but the words are similar.

thanks guys

lmk what diferences you notice from you fit and the fits that are pictured are.

The Mexican Fits also have the L15. all models have the 1.5 motor. FYI The mexican Fit shares the shorter Front/Rear of the JDM Fit. None of the US front end parts will fit on it without modification. I am also unsure if the Mexican fit is DBW or regular cable throttle.

All US Fits and Canada... But NONE of the 1st gen JDM Fits 02-07 were available in DBW. Im unsure if the MDM Fits are the same as the JDM ones.

Mexican gasoline is formulated differently and their crash protection standards aren't the same. Will Honda of America honor any warranty issues?

Warranty will be void upon crossing the border and the vehicle may not be able to be registered in the states due to difference in safety requirements etc. I am thinkning this would have the same headaches as bringing a JDM spec car to the states.
