Anybody here done M/T fluid change on a Fit ?

It's getting about time for me to change the fluid on my '07, and I'm looking at some way to avoid using my fluid pump to get the fluid back in to the trans. On the B-series engines I always pulled the VSS out of the tranny and filled through there until it ran out of the oil fill hole in the side to achieve the proper level.

So on my Fit, I'm looking at using the hole for the Back-up Light switch to fill the trans.

Any opinions or ideas?

Cheers

Why go to all that trouble when you have a pump already and you are right in the proper location to take out the drain plug just pop out the filler plug at the same time and go to town.

The pump tends to waste fluid. I'd rather get it done with out opening a third quart. It's really not much trouble, it's easier to pour in to a funnel that to use the pump.

Yeah...use the fill plug.

It only holds 1.6 quarts if I remmber correctly. So you would be seriously doing something wrong or spilling a lot of you had to open a 3rd quart with the use of a pump.

I have to use a pump to change the fluid in the rear end of my S2000 and it is not that big of a deal.
