I like to feel for clunks to check the front and rear. Do this in a safe place. Nobody around etc... Put the car in Drive. Apply the parking brake and step on the service brake. Pop the throttle open rapidly. You only have to give it a quick rap. You don't have to hold it down. You are feeling for a clunk when the engine applies torque. If you feel it while doing this in Drive, the front mount is likely bad. If you feel a clunk while doing the same thing in REVERSE, the rear mount is likely bad. However, mounts can go bad without sensing a clunk. When this happens you wont feel a clunk but a harsh idle ( lots of vibration ).

Keep in mind. There may be nothing wrong with your mounts. If you aren't sure, don't just replace them without having it checked out. They are very expensive.

It sounds like you are getting apply pressure to the fourth clutch, but there may be a problem in the servo body, or with the reverse selector/shaft/shift fork assembly. Let it drop into reverse as gently as possible, don't just hit the gas. Save some $, you may be needing to overhaul this transmission.
