Project S.5.G.A is my first car project but not my last. Im going to take this accord to another level. From bottom of the barrel to smoking the best of them. Watch as this accord evolves and transforms into something remarkable. I guarantee you will never see an accord that will perform, and have the graceful smooth style this will accord will have in the future.

Right now it has slight mods so I still consider it stock. Though its still faster then a stock accord. It has about 170 hp.

My goal is 500 hp.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3111874

I will keep updating this thread on the progress of my project.
Why am I making a thread on this?
Because
Im going to blow each and everyone of you guys minds.

It's going to a be a slow transformation as Im getting top of the line parts.
I just bought a 600$ Carbon Fiber hood and getting ready to build a 6,000$ H22.

I would say that from the factory.. the 5th gen already has a graceful smooth style.
What do you plan on doing to this car?!
Are you going to build an all motor H22 and try to reach the 500hp or you plan on boosting it?!

I'm in to see if you have anything innovative other than your carbon fiber hood and a built H swap that's all been done before. I'm going to guess that for a 6k build with a 500hp goal your going turbo?

Your saying that your current set up is 170hp. From the pics in your cardomain site that thing of yours is more stock than my grandmothers Accord. Unless you have some dyno charts to show 170 that thing is 140 at best. If you do have 170 I'll give you the props for the best sleeper Accord out there.

Don't mean to bash your build but your throwing a lot of money and numbers around with nothing tangible to back them up.

I await your updates of this 6k 500hp H build & good luck

Keep'em coming!

I understand. But the internals of the engine has been redone. When I first bought the engine was a piece of shit. You had to floor the gas pedal just to get it going. But when I bought it I got a tune up for cheap. The valves, valve springs, water pump all that.

What do I plan to do to this car?

Everything.

Add a supped up turboed H22
Everything to the entire fuel system to the exhaust is getting changed.
To all the little gizmos like fuel pressure and water temperature gauges in a custom dash board to boost controllers, a 1,500 -2,000 alpine system.
To tints, , sunroof, new 17" inch rims and tires.
Redone suspension,
Headlights, tailights, carbon fiber hood, fenders, a redone leather interior.
Shaved antenna, Gun metal silver paint job.
The list is too long.

I aiming to only put 6k to the engine not counting the swap or the actual price to buy one but for my goal I know I will need more.

Don't throw your money away.

Your "To Do:" list seems like it's from Fast and the Furious.

65% of that list is cosmetic, adding weight, or useless.

I'm not trying to discourage you from doing stuff, but take a guess at how many threads we see like this each week....

"gizmos" = waste
tint, sunroof, 17" wheels = waste
headlights, blah blah = waste
antenna and paint = waste

Rather in my opinion people should start with this list (similar to what I did) and certainly not at the same time, save your money do it correctly and don't go broke

1) Maintenence (everything and anything)
2) Suspension (stiffer than stock, softer than race)
3) Wheels/Tires (lightweight wheels, sticky tires)
4) Cosmetics if you want to do them
5) Turbo or Swap

Try to be realistic with your goals.

500hp?

really? You do know all that power goes to the front wheels right?

You do know what torque steer is ?

500 hp in a RWD or AWD car...fine. 500 hp FWD for the street? not fine.

but whatever its your money, i'd like to see how you plan of wastin...i mean spending it. Honda guys are funny

No offense, but Im completely speechless here. I work selling auto crap all day. By far I have never heard any one start off a first buy, for a "gracefull" and high performance machine (such as to wich you claim you are building) with a $600.00 hood . Unless this is some significant part of a very well thought out plan, you could be putting the wagon before the horse. Like I said- no offense. But it will prove far more effcient to save and plan your buys for your 500h.p. machine to be.......

Im just saying-

sounds like you have some serious intentions, and thats great that your enthusiastic about it.

unfortunately, you seem quite uneducated when it comes to cars in general.

just reading this alone shows you have no clue. As advice, i'd say keep it simple. And as stated above, your accord has nowhere near 170hp......your lucky if it has 135 even being well maintained.

I was expecting these types of responses. Also my hood was damaged at the time so I ordered a new one. Thats the only reason why I got a carbon fiber hood before I get the engine. But the engine is next on my list. Of course I'm changing the cam gears, and camshafts, and block and all that before I turbo it. I heard the h23 block was pretty strong and I should keep a strengthened H22 head. But I was thinking about going all out and getting the Darton Block.

Also whats wrong with the accessories exterior modifications I mentioned? I'm not throwing a bodykit on maybe a front lip for the turbo. Whats wrong with a sunroof?
Shaving off an ugly ass antenna? Nice rims and good quality tires is a problem? I am redoing the suspension, brakes I'm redoing everything about the car. I still haven't found out what headlights and taillights Im doing but there not going to be that riced out altezza lights.

Basically what Im doing is making this 95 accord an 08. By redoing the fuel system, suspension, brakes, features and electronics. It's going to have insane street performance. I'm not a ricer. Will it have a spoiler? Yes a nice clean looking lightweight little spoiler not a huge freaking wing. Will it have a bizarre looking painjob with 5 different colors pink, light green, light blue, red, and brown hell no. It's going to have a gunmetal or white silver paint job something you see on newer model cars ( undecided). Will it have a ridicolous bodykit? Hell no. A carbon fiber hood and fenders, and a chrome grill.

Im also pretty sure having an AEM ECU, a nice sound system, police radar, DVD player with a navigational system won't kill my car either.

Of course I could save my money sell this car for 3 - 4,000$ and buy a used 350Z and work on that which I'll buy later in life but where's the challenge in that?

I love the style of the 5th gen accords. It's a challenge. And alot of people think I can't do it.

Besides I already ordered parts so there's no going back. Once I start something I finish it.

I believe you're missing the point......

You really need to reevaluate what you're doing haha.

Just because you spend $600 on a CF hood (most likely died black fiberglass) doesn't make it a good performance part.

Like I said, you watched Fast and the Furious too much.

Why don't you just take the money that you would spend, sell your 95, and you could just buy a nice 08.

Bc he'll get mad str33t cred.

OP, what internals do you have that you say yield you 170whp? You didn't list anything besides a tune up, I'm curious.

thats just it. There arent that many running around. and if they are 500hp, they are trailor queens. I'm not knocking you, i just find 500 an unrealistic number for most enthusiasts.

Im only shooting for 230 N/A only because i dont see the need for anymore than that. I mean 500 in a light fwd chassis' like accords, civic's, and integras and your looking at running straight tracks only. Personally i rather have fun in the twisties and in the straight line.

have you put any thought into what your going to do to stiffen up the front end? Your going to need several things re-worked in order to keep that kind of HP under the hood. And you can bet that a lot of that stuff will need to be custom made as there isnt an aftermarket for that kind of stuff.

I can name the amount of 500hp + Accords on one hand. All of which have spent countless hours and dollars in getting to that point and even with that have some reliability problems.

So to say that a 19 year old that wears a Paul Walker t-shirt is capable of the same is shooting for the parallel universe (not stars, further than that). Unless your mommy/daddy are planning on giving you a bottomless credit card I do not see it happening at all. As mentioned earlier - your "built" F22 seems to simply be a stock F22 at maybe 120hp on a good day. So already your credibility is shot.

Toss that onto the fact that, like I said, I can't even count the number of people saying they're going to do a 500hp + build (shit in any car not just an accord) and end up no where close to it - your little project is shot.

These are contradicting each other. Why would you build the internals of the block but keep factory intake or even build the engine if you are planning a swap? What is your H going to be built with? And Darton does not make blocks. They make sleeves for blocks, which H will need resleeved for pistons. But I'm sure you knew that already. Dart makes blocks, but not an H that I am aware of. Be prepared to spend more than $6K if you want to do what you say you will. I have spent quite a lot already and still have a ways to go.

This thread is not to argue. It's too prove that I can do it. So why don't you watch this topic and see if I can do it. And ummm I'm not your average 19 yr old and my dad is gone and my Mom doesn't pay for shit. I don't even know who Paul walker is.

And if it counts for anything Im black so get these images of some wanna be gangsta or a spoiled preppy white boy.

thesonners said that you quoted it wrong.

Progress update:

The Carbon fiber Hood has arrived. Seibon evolution XT style. Real Carbon fiber high quality build.

It will be installed thursday. I will post pics later thursday of it. Saving up money for the engine and the serious amount of tuning its going to go through.
