The new Si is nice, but still slow. Even with bolt-ons and k-pro and ~230 whp it will be slow, it is a pretty heavy car when compared to Hondas of old. Now that engine in a hatch or CRX . I would keep the Fit as a daily driver and build a car on the side for fun. After making my last car both my race car and my daily driver, I will never do it again. That is why I suffer with the lack of power but good MPG daily, while I build my turbo poor man's ITR CRX.

besideds, you've got to put premium in the Si man! and the extra money could add a turbo to your fit.

I have gave up on making my fit my race car, that is why i only have a cai and my rims left to sell. I have tossed around the idea of getting and older honda and fixing that up like a 93-95 civic but If i could run mid 13's in a Si i think I would be happpy, but I love the fixed up hatches there awesome. I have thought about spending money I am saving for the SI to get the older honda and throw a type r motor in there so I can redline at around 9k i Believe its the b18c motor

I disagree... Bolt-ons + KPRO in the new Si is easily a 13second car. If 13's is too slow for you then, I don't know what's fast Also puttin that motor into a hatch or CRX isn't nearly the same- Spend 1/3 of the cost and build a poorman's like you said and it'll hit 13's all day too. The difference is theft, ride comfort and ride quality

Anyone considering a Fit shouldn't be considering an Si. There's a big difference there. Why would you buy a Fit and then buy an Si when you could have bought the Si first? The Si will be much faster than the Fit, obviously. If thats what you want then get the Civic.

just turbo/supercharge a fit. if tuned right in the long run, im sure you'll have an even more quick and nimble fit that will smoke those si's and rsx-s with their k20s!!

I say keep the fit and swap in a k series. Power of an Si, weight of a fit, best of both worlds.| Quote, originally posted by ViSiONxBoY » | I disagree... The Kpro is not compatible with the k20z3's drive by wire design. Hondata is still perfecting a system for the Si's. But its the dbw thats taking so long to work with.

In 2006 I had a new Si. I loved it, but had to sell it in 2007. Later in 2007 I bought a Fit, now I want to sell the Fit for another new Si. I only work 7 miles away now so premium gas isn't a big deal anymore. The Si just felt so much better than the Fit. I'm not bashing the Fit at all, I love it. I'm not even talking about power either. There was just something about the way the new Si drove that I miss.

I disagree. To start with if your talking 8th gen on the SI, there is no K-Pro. The only fuel tuning we have is reflashes and piggybacks. Hondata is working on something, but we have been hearing this for the last year and half. I have 2006 SI with a Comptech Supercharger. Currently I am running 5psi of boost and Dyno'ed at 260whp (323hp). The fuel tuning is a Hondata reflash. The Greddy turbo kit uses a piggyback and produces slightly less hp but better torque. Other mods on mine include a header, cold air, light weight Flywheel, Brembo Gran Turismo front Brakes, HFP suspension and Greddy cat-back. With a little work you can get the weight down to 2,600 pounds. The car should quarter in the mid to high 12's. With another 4 psi to 5psi and Hondata's new tuning solution, I expect the K20z3 will produce over 300whp. Just have to wait and see. At any rate, that is pretty fast when compared to comparable vehicles. I love my SI, but it is not a daily driver or great fuel economy car. This is why I am looking to buy a 2008 Fit Sport, to have in addition to the SI.
