ACT clutch & flywheel for Accord« » Reply  Edit

I've searched and most posts are in F.S.

I have a '92 accord and the OEM clutch is starting to go. I am thinking about getting the ACT H.D. pressure plate w/ street disk and streetlight flywheel. I've heard from a Honda tech that the hydrolic clutch is not a good combo with the aftermarket clutch. (problems...a lot of chatter, clutch goes bad after a couple of 10-20k miles)

Does anybody have an ACT clutch and flywheel in their accord? How do you like it? Any problems?

-Thanks

I know this thread is 2 years old plus, but im trying to figure out what I should do in terms of a new clutch. My OEM is on it's way out. I want something with more of a grab and I was considering exedy stage 1 with a fidanza flywheel.

However, I've read that some people have had fitment issues with the fidanza 8lbs. flywheel for the F23. The flywheel is listed, from what I've seen, for the h22, h23, f23, etc.

So at this point im considering the exedy stage 1 still with an ACT flywheel, since it's a bit heavier than the fidanza, it's a one piece flywheel, and it's listed solely for fitting the f23 tranny.....

The H22, H23 ,F22, F23 all have the exact same bolt patterns and the transmissions and related parts are all interchangeable between manual trans. the fidanza flywheel is a bit light foer some people and the street light is usually the best bet for a DD'er.
