This is only a thought, as we have not needed to go this route. The CS-IIs have plenty of wheel travel, if not lowered beyond about 2.0" or so. I hestitate to post this "2.0" number, as we have a wide range of road conditions, and some owners need more travel than others...

i see what you mean though, makes a lot of sense. i only ask to see IF i were to drop about 2.5-MAYBE 3, however i forgot to take into account the shorter body, which would in and of itself already give me a lower height. it appears that oem tophats would be the way to go though.

thanks for all the information, you've been a lot of help.

YES, if you need a taller front ride height to clear your slicks. NO, if you are running street wheels and tires. Consider calling us with your specifics for an exact answer.

Can you post a few pictures of what this kit includes so we can see what it looks like? The site says the picture may not be the actual product. I'm interested in these for my own car.

The photo on this page is accurate, and shows the kit contents. The bump stop hardware has been installed on the shocks to simplify the photo. The "autocross" rear springs are 1.0" shorter. I will look for more photos ASAP, and add them to post #1.

This H-T promotion will be extended through February. We have had numerous comments and PMs about extending our offer, and the response has been favorable.

Our sincere THANK YOU to those that have placed orders here, and supported our brand with your posts. And, tax refunds are coming soon!

Best Regards,

im having a hard time wording this question, but, how aggressive are the dampeners compared to a KYB AGX on its stiffest setting?

or better yet, do you have a shock dyno for these?

here is the dyno posted for an AGX from the sticky:

+1 I'm very interested in seeing a shock dyno for the Comp 2. Trying to talk myself into Progress away from Koni/GC.

Mike, buy from them. You saw what they did for Ryan's car.

In response to your damping questions, it is our policy NOT to post damping curves. We have had an excellent shock dyno in-house for about eight years, and it has been an invaluable tool. Here is an old pic... we have since upgraded the PC!

We have approached the damping for FWD vehicles much differently than 99% of the popular aftermarket (Asian-built) units we have evaluated. We feel that these CS-II kits are superior units, and a huge value at this $559 price point. Our damping curves are the result of our racing and vehicle dynamics experience, not copying another brand or generic in any way. Our specifications for consistency and quality are more than marketing hype.

These same CS-II dampers have been frequently set up with 450# fronts and 650# rears, and aggressively tracked by experienced drivers with rave reviews. This is plenty of shock for a VERY aggressive street/track day vehicle. It is NOT a purpose-built racing shock.

If you need more damper, or would like to discuss some custom units, you may consider our original CS-I take-apart design. Our engineering department can discuss & review your needs and custom-build units for your project, but the cost will be considerably higher. Our CS-I damper design is capable of generating enough damping force to utilize spring rates in the 1000-1600#/inch range, well beyond most of our needs. This same basic shock design has won many road races, and set numerous drag and top speed records.

If you post another manufacturer's dyno curve (or a link) here, we would be pleased to make a brief comment. We will comment on the AGX (sticky, as noted above) ASAP.

Best Regards,
Jeff

Here's a shock dyno from the most competitive shock in the market, the Koni Sport. The dyno is from Koni so the text on the figure is theirs:

I don't want to put you over a barrel, but could you comment on the differences between the comp. 2 shocks and the Koni dyno? How low speed rebound damping compares, how high speed rebound damping compares, how digressive/linear the rebound response is, and how the bump damping compares? Personally, I'm trying to decide between your 350/250 comp. 2 coilovers and a Koni/GC combo with similar spring rates. I'm interested in a smooth ride that's capable in turns but also capable of touring.

Sounds good.

I only ask to compare to the AGX because i used those on my car last year, and it had some squat, but not TOO bad. I am looking to upgrade to something better.

If these are much more aggressive compared to an AGX on full stiff settings, i think they will work for me.

Do you have any comment on how these will preform with Skunk2 drag coils in the rear?

PS. I sent in an email question as well. Looking forward to hearing back from ya'll.
