So just a little over a month since I've tossed my CSII's on and cannot say enough great things about them. I'm rolling 450/350 with a 24mm rear sway bar and since I still drive the car quite a bit and the midwest roads aren't the best I didn't want to go over stiff with my setup. Anyways I had a track event last weekend in Iowa at MAM (Mid American Motorplex) and I cannot get enough of these.

I'm still just a stock LS with a GSR transmission, tons of suspension work including corner balancing and sticky tires.

As soon as I hit the track I was gone! Unfortunately they didn't have times going but I ran the short track of mam (1.4 Miles) around 1:26-1:28 had a buddy timing me.

I kept having people asking me what's done to the car because they just couldn't hang with me in the corners and that kept the biggest smile on my face all day long knowing the car only had suspension work done to it and I was rocking (money wise) the cheapest set of coilovers out on the track!

I kept telling everyone I know looking into suspension to give Progress a call or Email because you cannot beat these guys for the price you pay for a great performing coilover. I did 55 laps that day and they show no signs of anything but ready to go again.

Progress has a customer for life I can tell you that!

After a week riding the mean streets of Baltimore with a 450F/550R setup I can say... my back hurts LOL.


Just kidding. They're definitely more than I'd recommend for the average Joe's daily driven car but if you're performance oriented it's definitely doable and worth it! You do however need to look down the road a little further and watch for any huge bumps, concrete slab abutments or potholes.

That said, HOLY ****. The car literally handles like it's on rails now. To be fair I swapped beat broken springs and blox control arms with almost no bushing left out for function7 and in the rear and hardrace in the front. I haven't even put the sway bars on yet.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help picking my setup out. I'm MORE than happy! I ended up running the front perches the recommended 8 turns of preload from 1/8" off the bottom of the spring. After everything settled the pass side was only 1/8" higher than the front so I backed 2 turns off and they both sit at 12 1/2". The rears are both 8 turns past 1/8" off the springs but I ran them on the top holes to maintain preload and still have them sit 12 1/2" center of hub to fender. Worked out perfectly.

I MAY drop all 4 corners 4 more turns to set them at 12 1/4" but I'll wait for now.


Other noted improvements BTW:

Shifting results in more direct power to the ground feel instead of rocking the chassis back.

In traffic the car behaves much better at low speeds. Much more willing to coast without lurching.
