What tires?

What tires?
I want to run some 195/45r15 tires cuz of offset and ride height. I plan on doing some autocross in my eg hatch. But it's a DD. So I need good wet traction. Running firestone firehawks and theyre amazing. But 205/55 too wide.

Since this is your DD, Get another set of rims specific for AutoX, you will go through tires quick...You don;t want to use your DD and AutoX tires at the same time...

Re: What tires?
Do you plan on doing any work to the sheetmetal to increase tire clearance? If so, 15x8 +35's will fit with 225/50/15's.
Also, assuming you have a 1995 Civic DX hatchback, the correct tire size for a 195-width tire is 195/50/15. 195/45/15's are undersized for the car.

Only tire we have in 195/45R15 is the Yokohama S.Drive which is a really sporty summer compound tire. Rim Width Range for this size is 6.00" to 7.50" for reference.

Depends on the sheet metal work. What do I have to do to fit them? Flare the wheel wells? Dent the inner fender wells? Already checked tire rack on the s. Drives.Ty. I'm using 205/55 from firestone. Great tire, but too wide. Which I got there :D

Oh that's not much, I started rolling the fronts and got a little more clearance, but the rear qp is rusting and I dont want to make it look worse. So when I do the paint job and body work, I will do that. Still, what tires should I slap on the 15x8+35s?

Re: What tires?
I autocrossed a season in ST class with Yokohama S. Drives and really loved them for the first half. For the latter half of the season I thought they got really splashy, to be honest.
I'd recommend something a little more aggressive like the KDW or Comp2. The KDW is a lot cheaper now, too since it's being discontinued soon. It's old technology but a great tire.
