Default what tire presure... EX Coupe with SI wheels and 205s

What would be a good tire pressure for a 97 EX Coupe with 99-00 SI wheels with new tires that are 205/50R15 Kuhmo Ecsta AST?

Stickied at the top of this forum is a topic called

Forum Rules and FAQ - READ BEFORE POSTING

It says:

What air pressure should I use in my tires?

As a general rule, regardless of wheel or tire size or type, the best place to start is with the pressure recommended for your CAR, as shown in your owner's manual and on your car either on the door jamb or glove compartment door. Measure the pressure when the car has been sitting for several hours out of the sun, at the outside temperature at which the car will be used. Adjust from there in 2 psi increments as needed, based on tire wear and your preference for handling and/or ride comfort.

Do NOT set the pressure to the maximum pressure indicated on the sidewall of your tire.

my car orginally came with 185/##R14 and I no longer have those wheels. I currently have 195/55R15 on it now.

So anyone running 205-50-15 on a 96-00 Civic Coupe with SI wheels? What tire pressure are you runnig?

Or better yet, what was the stock pressure for a Civic SI with 195/55R15?

None of these questions matter.

Go look at the sticker on your door pillar that lists the recommended pressure for your car. That is the pressure you should start with, just as nsxtasy posted.

Default stock tire pressure on a 99-00 Civic SI

So what does your door jam say on your 99-00 Civic SI with 195-55 R15s?

I don't have a door jam sticker or owners' manual... That is my reason for asking.

If you have 205/50s on SI wheels, what PSI are you running?

That's the WRONG PLACE to look.

You need to look on a 1997 Civic EX Coupe - YOUR CAR - not on the car that your wheels came from.

Please don't post guesses that might or might not be right.

This is one reason you need to have an owner's manual for your car. So you can get accurate information about the tire pressures, maintenance interval recommendations, etc. You can buy one here.

Sheesh...

(Maybe someone here knows the answer...)

cold tire pressure: 30psi front, 29 psi rear...

Start with that, and adjust from there as needed, for handling, ride comfort, tire wear, etc.
