Default Quick question about aircraft paint remover.

are their different brands of this "aircraft paint remover" if so which is the best. also where would i be able to find it at, and would it damage your tires if the paint mover touched it?

I've stripped/painted a few sets of rims with it without any tire issues.

It can certainly ruin tires. The chemicals involved with aircraft stripper do not care if they're eating paint or rubber.

The damage it does is mostly cosmetic unless you drown them in the stuff. Just mask them off, or toss a drop cloth over em.

The stuff you want is in a blue can with white writing and has a pic of a plane on it. I think the label might have changed recently but it's made by klean strip.

Please stop talking. Walmart doesn't have their own brand. The one they do carry is the same as advance or auto zone.

it comes with a spay bottle so the application is easy. i didnt cover my tires and didnt get any on them. except my ankles! lol and you'd have to submerge your tires in the stuff to get some real damage.

Don't get one in a spray can, doesn't work as good.
And as mentioned before, as long as you don't drench your tires in it or just clean any off that gets on the rubber, you should be fine.

the klean strip is the best. dont use it with tires on take them off. it will eat the rubber that of the tire. I have seen the damages it can do.

Most of the brands work well, but stay away from the Walmart brand. I used various brands to strip my car & the Walmart brand is the least effective. It works, but not nearly as well as other brands. 2) It can harm your tires if you leave it on, so make sure to wash it off afterwards. 3) Make sure you wash the spot you stripped, you'll have a hell of a time painting it. Best brand I've used: comes in a red & blue can by Klean Strip.
