Icon2 looking to get hx rims.

I have a stock 1997 civic LX. I was wondering if the HX rims would fit? I just want to get rid of the stock 14 inch steelies with hub caps and try to keep it as stock lookin as possible.

Can anyone else vouch for this? And also does anybody you know what offset the steelies are? If not would it be engraved on the rim somewhere?

Steel wheels - 14x5 +45
HX wheels - 14x5.5 +45

They'll fit. Its been done before... including by Honda themselves!

From what I read...I guess I don't need a spacer or a grinder huh?

Nope. There's going to be only a .25 inch difference in the wheel's backspacing, which is far less then what the car can sit comfortably with. People run 15x9's on the car with some slight work (overall that's 2 inches of difference in backspacing).

I love the look of hx wheels! Always nice to see people rocking OEM wheels in a world surrounded in overly-wide wheels and played out tire stretch.
