The wheel is held onto the car using lug nuts. All Honda/Acura cars use lug nuts. (Some other makes, e.g. BMW, use lug bolts.) The lug pattern (also called a bolt pattern, regardless) is needed when purchasing wheels, so that the wheels can be mounted to the car.

The first number is the number of lug nuts.

The second number is the diameter of the circle formed by the centers of those lug nuts. For Honda/Acura cars, it's usually quoted in millimeters. It's possible that other brands sometimes use inches, I don't know.

Most smaller Honda/Acura cars have a 4x100 lug pattern, meaning 4 lug nuts in a circle 100 mm across. Some Honda/Acura cars (NSX, Prelude, Integra Type R) have a 5x114.3 pattern, and I'm not sure but I think some Accords may have a 4x114.3 pattern. (If you're wondering why it's such an odd number, it's because 114.3 millimeters is exactly 4.5 inches.)

The measurements in millimeters are frequently rounded. So you will hear a 4x114.3 pattern called 4x114 or 4x115 (I've heard both), whereas the exact pattern they are referring to is 4x114.3 (4x4.5). Same thing with 4x108, whereas the exact dimensions are 4x107.95 (4x4.25).
