Default 2015 CR-V Rims

I'm changing out the original alloy rims (17 x 7 inch) for aftermarket alloys for my winter tires on a new 2015 CR_V. I understand the original rims were 45 mm offset and the replacement rims will be 40mm offset. Will this cause any problems with handling, suspension wear etc?

You're probably fine. What size are the tires on the new wheels?

The extra 5 mm the wheels will mount closer to the hub won't do anything.

The height of the car hasn't been changed either has it?

Everything else stock holding constant, and the only change being the 5mm offset from 45mm to 40mm You should be fine.

Yes both rims are 17x7 and the tires are the same size. Only difference is the originals are 45mm offset and the new rims are 40mm offset. I have them installed now and all seems fine.
