2011 Honda Pilot - premature tire wear
Anyone out there had issues with goodyear fortera hl p245/65r17 tires wearing after 20,000 miles? I recently had to change out my 2 front tires. I serviced my car regularly at the dealership which included tire rotations. Upon calling Goodyear, they claimed that they get a number of calls from owners of Pilot's with similar complaints.

I have a 2011 Honda pilot purchased new. About 28,000 miles the tires started making noise. Found out that the tires ALL 4 were cupped. Took to tire place they said that the alignment was off. I took it to the local dealer and told them they said that the alignment was fine but would not show me the print out of the alignment. I contacted Honda sent them all my repair tickets from oil changes and tire rotations. They paid for a new set of tires because it was still under warranty. The dealership said they did an alignment on it. After further investigations found out that the specs for the alignment is wrong, which will wear tires unevenly. Honda will not acknowledge this and have the issue fixed. Now the car has 50,000 miles on it and the tires are cupped again and the inner rubber is actually coming off the tire. Took to a tire place once again they told me that the car is not aligned. The dealership never did the alignment on it like they said they did. If you are premature tire wear take it to an independent tire dealer because they will fix the problem the first time.

Wow, stop going to that dealership. Which dealership is it and where? Let me know so I can tell everyone on this planet and the next to stay away from there.
Not all dealerships will be like this of course but it seems rather very neglectful and pernicious for them to claim they did work on it and never did it at all. Were you charged for any previous service.
If they claimed they "performed" service to the vehicle and actually did nothing, can you prove that they did NOT performed any service when they claimed they did?
If you can prove they did nothing I would take them to court, have them pay for new tires, and fixing any other issues that have arisen because of their carelessness.

We have not had any recall notices or warranty advisories on that specific tire......Goodyear has a 60,000 mile warranty on the tire for reference, so there should be some recourse if you can provide proof of regular rotation and a recent alignment.
