what kind of welding is used for titanium welding???
I have a Titanium Muffler, need to open it up to fill it's loss glass wool, but i didn't do it yet, that i heard the welding used for titanium is different. And i also got some friends whom make their Titanium Muffler into Titanium plate.........
can anybody give me some advice about this and share your information about titanium welding???

Properly done, it must be TIG welded in an enclosed argon chamber. It can be done, with risky results, as long as you are sure to backpurge well, and set your post flow high.

Yes, you need postflow. My advice is to weld it outdoors, as if it catches fire, water will not put it out. Also, most fire extinguishers won't put out metal fires, and the ones that will are pretty costly. So, the last thing you want to happen is that you burn your house down because you're doing $200 in labor on a $100 muffler.

Class D Fire.. yay! Are you sure its a titanium muffler??????? or just a titanium TIPPED muffler, which are pretty comon because of the color they titanium when they heat it. For some reason i doubt its a solid titanium muffler.

actually it's not a titanium muffler, but a DC titanium Header+muffler for b18c, i've found out some crack on the middle pipe of the muffler's original factory welding, maybe i can post a picture later.....
