I can't afford nice tools, so I buy what I can afford.

Picked up the harbor freight horizontal/vertical band saw today. Just need to get the blade adjusted right and it'll cut perfectly. Very happy with it.

Having a nice set of tools makes working on cars so much easier. I'll post some pics of my Kennedy box when I get home

It's for adjusting valve lash on DOHC vtec engines. To many customers lately wanting a tune but only pulling 6 inches of vacuum at idle because no one ever taught them how to do valve lash.

This tool is pretty much required on the vtec twin cams, non vtec and sohcs can be done with a flathead and 10 or 12mm

I have been using that same tool I bought it from amazon.com like 7 years ago. Its gets abused and keeps on ticking... I think I paid like 10 bucks for it. Probably has seen 200+ valve adjustments.

I'll post some pictures later, I spend a lot of times searching the assorted tool bins at pawn shops, I'm always looking for older American made sockets especially the larger sized ones, you can get them for next to nothing. once you did through the 500 Chinese sockets, you might find old craftsman, blackhawk, proto, snap on, old American made Stanley, yes they used to be good, etc etc, I picked up an old 70's black and decker spark plug cleaner at the cross roads mission store, it plugs into your lighter plug, still in the box, never used, everything there, after searching they are apparently pretty rare

Well I'm still working out of my two car garage.
So I got the best small mill in my price range an in the foot print I need. A ten tool changer and a CNC controlled Z axis puts this machine light years ahead of the two axis CNC Bridgeport.

Not sure why the pics are sooooooooooooooo big sorry guys.

I lucked out big time with these additions...

I was on Kijiji doing my usual hunting, saw an ad for a Craftsman compressor and "air tools" for $500. I could see from the pictures that he had at least one Dotco grinder, I recognized the logo right away. I emailed them and asked about the "air tools", he said he'd sell three for $50. SOLD! I ended up giving the guy $110 for two Dotco grinders, an Atlas Copco air angle grinder and a Desoutter air screwdriver. The Dotcos were my main goal, the other will most likely be sold on eBay to cover the $110. Pictures below!

The long one is just there for scale, that was the one that started this thread!
