ToxicFab.com BMX Bike frame!!!
for over a year now i have been throwing the thought of building my self a bike around. never have time and could never get the materials i wanted. so finally i found everything i needed. this is no easy task. i used all double butted 4130 chromo tube. every part is made from chromo. frame came in at 4.2lbs which put a smile on my face:updown: here are some pics of the frame before and after welding. most pictures before welding its in the jig which i will keep a secret for now. enjoy!

that looks great, i wonder how it will hold up to some hard street riding. I've broken a couple frames, although i am 5'11'' and 230lbs. It looks really really fresh tho man. What size top tube you got going on? i see you're running integrated headset and mid bottom bracket. Def keep it up man. Btw how much do you think you spent on building the frame?

You didn't happen to get that headtube, seat tube, and bb shell from the people over at Roadkill did you? You know Chelsea's dad started a bike company 15 years ago that made frames?

Looks great! I always wanted to build a BMX too, I spent countless hours of my youth riding around on one of those.
Where did you find the materials?

Re: ToxicFab.com BMX Bike frame!!!
I had no problems with any distortion. Be careful on the materials you order. It's not just any old chromo tube. If you used 8th inch wall or .095wall for like roll cages you would have your self a 17-20 pound frame or even more. I used very thin wall double butted 4130. It's .047-.035-.047. Plus you need a machined head tube (integrated) also, a machined bottom bracket. Hope this helps.

I work at a machine shop, which will be ordering the material for me so its no problem. did you just pick a head set and crank etc. and then machine to fit those parts, or did you copy another bike and then order parts that fit it?

Re: ToxicFab.com BMX Bike frame!!!
The bottom bracket shell and head tube were purchased. It's next to impossible to make those parts on your own unless you know the INS and outs of bmx. I've been racing for 20 years and worked for a company that makes bmx sprockets but not even we could have made that exact headtube properly. You could just buy a piece to use a normal press-in headset though
