Which Tig Welder?
Hey everyone I right now am in the market to purchase a welder, preferably a tig. Anyhow it will be used very infrequent , more hobbyist type of use not everyday for hours on end thats why i cant justify spending 1600+ on a syncro200 or ta185. Anyhow the main use im trying to get outta this is, make my OWN downpipes, chargepiping, and maybe just maybe attempt to make my OWN turbo manifold or for friends. What im getting at is this isn't for selling manifolds it's for personal use and im curious which you guys think could do what im looking for. I know the smiley has already been used for all what i have said by a few memebers on the board, but i was curious would the thermal arc dragster be able to do it as well? I would like to get the thermal cause its the same price range and i know TA is a great company, but if the 85 amps isnt enough for anything i want to do (Charge piping, downpipe, turbo mani) then I would rather just get the smiley, anyhow thanks again input is appreciated.
The Smiley is the standard 120 that ive seen everyone use.
Heres the link to the TA Dragster 85 http://cgi.ebay.com/THERMAL-AR...wItem.

Don't want a TA Dragster. Spend a little more and get the Smiley/Mitec. Scracth/Lift Start suchs. Your gonna cry for HF Start if you get that machine.
