I did the exact same thing. Also made a custom bracket to mount my ecu under the climate control box.

Ya, I hear ya. But I know for the Ek's engine harness goes straight to the ecu while EG's connect at both shock towers. This being said, I have already untangled all my underdash harness wires on the passenger side(to lengthen without adding wire). I'll take some pictures once I get my lazy *** outside. I will also need to lengthen my passenger side where it connects to the clips inside by the underdash fuse box. So much of a hassle compared to the EK's. lol

Question about your bracket..

Can you see the ECU when the dash is all put back together? Any pics of this??
